Notes from the designer:
My personal favorite of all of our hats (so far). This is version 2.0 — I adjusted the front graphic dimensions a bit, added the patch on the side, and added "GAMEBALL" to the back of the hat.
I want this hat to feel like a hat from the early 90s that you find in your uncle’s attic. The colors are great. The crown is a nice, natural “white” that looks perfectly aged, not a true white but also not too yellow or tan. The contrasting color on the bill and squatcho make for a lovely combo.
The "Cincy" text graphic is something I came up with as part of an unreleased and unfinished custom font called "Crosley," which was based on the font Muncie by Lost Type Co-op. I made the text “wavy” by hand in Adobe Illustrator after many iterations.
The patch on the side is a fun embellishment. I chose to use the home plate graphic because Cincinnati is and will always be home. —Chris Hendrixson
